High School Info

In order to apply for either a Tennessee Driving Permit or License, a student must have a Department of Safety form which confirms a student's compliance with the state’s compulsory school attendance laws.  The form must be validated within thirty (30) days prior to its use.

The Heritage Covenant office will provide this form upon request with the condition that the student’s Evaluation reports are current. Again, please understand that the DOS forms are only valid for thirty (30) days after issuance. A $10.00 fee will apply for duplicate form requests.

A transcript is kept on each high school student. It contains a list of courses taken, grades received, annual and cumulative Grade Point Averages (GPA), as well as ACT and SAT scores.

A student’s transcript is developed and credit is awarded toward graduation on the basis of the Course Completion Certification Form. HCS high school students must have the “CCC” form filled out and signed by the course teacher whenever each course is completed. A modest fee of $5.00 is assessed for each course certified and added to the student's transcript.

At the end of each year a transcript is sent to each student at no charge. Additional transcripts are available for $10.00 each.

Commencement Exercises are tentatively scheduled for Saturday afternoon, 10 May 2014.

Beginning in January, the graduates and their parents are notified by mail of the details concerning the ordering of caps and gowns, invitations, etc.

Expenses associated with graduation and the preparation of the diploma are met by a $125 diploma fee which must be paid before the diploma is awarded.

The college entrance exams known as the A.C.T. and S.A.T. are scheduled at various times throughout the year.  Application packets are available through the school office. A student may also apply through their web addresses. A.C.T. is at www.act.org and S.A.T. is at www.collegeboard.org.

The HCS identification number for both the A.C.T. and the S.A.T. is 430-717.
