LEGAL
The Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) is committed to advocating two
fundamental principles of liberty: parental rights and religious freedom. The
HSLDA monitors federal legislation and maintains relationships with key U.S.
Senate and House offices as well as with other family-friendly organizations. It
also tracks state legislation and assists with drafting statutes to improve the
educational environment. The cost for a family’s membership in the HSLDA is $115 per year; Heritage Covenant families are eligible for a discount of $20.

SUPPORT GROUPS
MTHEA - A variety of independent educational support groups and activities are listed monthly in the MTHEA newsletter, “Jonathan’s Arrow.” We recommend membership in MTHEA (the Middle Tennessee Home Education Association). To join, send your name and address with $35 to MTHEA Membership, P.O.Box 147, Old Hickory, TN 37138.
